For my local friends who are GF…..Linda’s Bakery in West Salem has Gluten “friendly” products!

While they cannot label them as gluten-free because they are made in a facility where other products are made, I questioned them on their process and each Wednesday they clean everything down and change oil for fryers and all the gluten-friendly products are made before any other product.  They do advise that if you are super sensitive, their products may not be for you.

I purchased their cupcakes and doughnut holes and had absolutely zero reaction.  They were amazing!  They both tasted the same as a gluten filled item.  They were light and fluffy.  No grainy texture.  Not overly heavy or cakey.  Definitely a 8 on the 10 scale of goodness!

  1. I purchased their chocolate cupcakes and sugar coated doughnut holes (gluten-friendly versions) and they were absolutely delicious!! As I stored them in the freezer to preserve them, I just took them out by servings and thawed them in the microwave just long enough they were a “little” warm. It was almost as good as getting them fresh out of the oven/fryer!!
