4 Large tart cooking apples
3/4 C packed brown sugar
1/2 C flour
1/2 C quick oats
1/3 C butter, softened
3/4 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
- Heat oven to 375 F. Grease 8 x 8 pan
- Spread apples in pan. In medium mixing bowl, stir remaining ingredients. Sprinkle over apples.
- Bake about 30 min or until topping is golden brown and apples are tender when pierced with a fork.
- Server warm plain or with vanilla ice cream.
** For Gluten-free option: I used Aldi brand Live G Free baking mix in place of the regular flour.
***For no sugar added: Replace 3/4 packed brown sugar with 2/3 C packed Splenda brown sugar.
